NONNI PARFUM is a celebratory tribute to Virginia Di Somma’s charming mother Nina on the anniversary of her 100th birthday in June 2019. An extraordinarily vibrant and creatively talented woman born to Italian immigrants Nino and Bruna in Christchurch New Zealand in 1919.

Nina spent her teenage years in Rome working for renowned shoemakers Salvatore Ferragamo. A local photographer noticed Nina dressing the store window one afternoon and asked her to be his muse for a photographic competition.

This winning image captures a memorable time in Nina’s life and alludes beautifully to the sentiment ‘MAY YOU LIVE A HUNDRED YEARS’
